Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is the largest municipal water and power utility in the country. Its mission is to provide customers with reliable, safe and high quality water and electricity to residents and businesses in Los Angeles. LADWP power and water projects are focused on maintaining or modernizing existing infrastructure, and constructing new facilities to ensure LADWP fulfills its mission.
LaLonde has provided rental equipment support on more than 25 projects for LADWP including installation of water trunk lines, river conduit improvements, dust mitigation efforts, generating station upgrades and more. Recently, LaLonde supplied equipment for a project that involved building a new flood control channel in preparation for the upcoming El Nino season. LaLonde delivered Tier 3 excavators to the job site that were equipped with a wide assortment of attachments needed to remove trees, debris and a large amount of dirt. The new channel will help control the flow of water during storms to protect nearby homes and businesses as well as the drinking water supply stored at the site.
